The 20th saw the initial announcement from YG Entertainment that the new single by YG's girl group Baby Monster is titled "BATTER UP." The term "BATTER UP" refers to the cue that a baseball official uses to signal to the next hitter to get ready to bat, yet the title's obvious meaning leads to an odd tension. Expectations regarding the genre and manner in which YG's first girl group in seven years, Baby Monster, will make its debut are growing.

Another powerful element of the "BATTER UP" poster that was just launched is the rough-textured, athletic logo. Here's where Baby Monster, poised to take the first step into the worldwide music scene, comes in. According to YG, "BATTER UP" is a confident and ambitious song that ushers in Baby Monster's beginnings.

It will be a powerful hip-hop song that leaves a lasting impression of Baby Monster's distinct and individual personality." On the 27th, at midnight, Baby Monster (Luca, Parita, Asa, Haram, Laura, and Chikita) will make their official debut with the publication of their debut digital song, "BATTER UP".

A week out from its formal debut, Black Pink has solidified its position as the world's most popular artist, and we're eager to see how those with superior talent and potential as "monster newcomers" will upend the K-pop industry.
