Many Korean press companies have dealt with the Ocean Expedition submarine incident during the last few days. However, none of the major Korean press has dealt with the Greek refugee ship which sank underwater with 700 refugees on it.
Some press companies have dealt with the Greek refugee ship incident. However, it was only succinctly dealt with on a page where the public is hard to find. The public voices in Korea tell us that they are mad at the press companies.
Some voices point out the fact that the lives of the rich are dealt with interest, whereas no one is interested in the 700 refugees who sank with the ship. With this social phenomenon, the value of human lives is re-examined. Press companies that only deal with the rich's death seem not to be welcomed by the public.
The Greek refugee ship sank on June 14th and is known that 700 people were on board and over 600 people died or have gone missing due to this incident. The Ocean Expedition submarine incident happened on June 22nd and it is known that 4 millionaires and their families, a total of 5 were on board.
