On October 4th, FIFA announced that the 2030 World Cup will be hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco as co-hosts of the 2030 World Cup.

The FIFA Council announced the decision on the same day and decided to host one opening match in the South American countries of Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay, and a World Cup centenary celebration in South America. Additionally, some games, including the first one, will take place in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay, three South American nations. As hosts, all six nations will be able to compete in the World Cup.

FIFA chose the unconventional plan of "hosting multiple continents at the same time" by shaking the principles of the World Cup continents by itself because of the special situation of the "100th anniversary of the World Cup." FIFA has decided to play the opening match of the 2030 World Cup at Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, Uruguay, the venue of the inaugural World Cup 100 years ago (1930).

Some people were surprised by the announcement, while others responded that it was okay. Because this is the 100th anniversary of the World Cup, not only Korea but all countries will pay attention.
