The League of Legends World Championship finals between T1 and Weibo Gaming were held at Gocheok Sky Dome on November 19th at 5:00 PM Korean time. This match received a lot of attention, and even though it was held in Korea, all teams except T1 were eliminated in the quarterfinals, leaving only T1 in the semifinals and all other teams remaining were Chinese LPL teams.

All Korean fans were desperately rooting for T1 to win. Also, fans were even more desperate because T1 had the record of finishing runner-up in five consecutive tournaments. The opponent was Weibo Gaming, an LPL team. People viewed them as a weak team and no one had high expectations, but as they advanced to the finals, expectations were raised that they would show up like DRX did last year.

From the opening stage of the finals, the stage was heated from the beginning with performances by Riot's newly announced boy band concept project team Heartsteel and New Jeans. As a result, T1, who had all the expectations, overwhelmingly won the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sets, defeating Weibo Gaming 3-0 and winning the League of Legends World Championship. Faker and T1 achieved great achievements by winning the League of Legends World Championship a total of four times, winning for the first time in seven years.
