The government announced that the criteria for multi-child families have changed from children of three or more to children of two or more. In South Korea, multi-child families get a lot of benefits and support from the government. The government made this decision because, currently, South Korea is a declining society with a decreasing population. Therefore, this changed policy can ease the burden on multi-child families. Especially families with two children. As a result, families with two children or more count as multi-child families and can get all the benefits that they get.
