Russian authorities confirmed Yevgeny Prigozhin's death

Russian authorities have officially confirmed the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin in connection with the Wagner Group plane crash.

On the 23rd local time, around 6:00 pm, the Wagner Group private plane leaving Moscow and heading for St. Petersburg, where Wagner's headquarters were located, crashed about 300 km away from Moscow, and all 10 people on board were found dead.

On the day of the accident, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) announced a list of 10 people on board, including Wagner Group founder Prigozhin and co-founder Dmitry Utkin.

The Wagner Group, a Russian private military company, has played an important role in the fighting in the Ukrainian war and has also deployed its personnel to Syria, Libya, and several African countries.
