The Gyeonggi Special Judicial Police Group and the animal rescue group rescued about 1,400 dogs that had been neglected in the poor condition of the puppy mill, located in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong-si on September 1st.

This puppy mill killed and froze the dog if the value of it dropped; they also killed a pregnant mother dog and took out the pups to sell, which violated animal protection law.

Gyeonggi Province cracked down after receiving a report from the animal rescue group 'We Act', and rescued over 1,400 dogs that were still alive.

Gyeonggi Province plans to directly protect and support about 700 of these dogs by moving them to 'Gyeonggi Pet Maru', a pet cultural complex, and 'Gyeonggi Provincial Assistance Dog Sharing Center', a dog adoption facility.

The Gyeonggi Province plans to take administrative action, including business suspension, against this puppy mill through further investigation.
