Everton in the 28th round of the 2023-24 English Premier League held at Old Trafford in Manchester, England on the 9th (KST). This game was particularly important for Manchester United's advancement to the Champions League. On this day, Garnacho’s performance was especially outstanding.
At the beginning of the first half, both teams attacked and showed a fast-paced game. Then, in the 10th minute of the first half, during a Manchester United counterattack, Garnacho tripped on Takowski's foot in the penalty box and was awarded a penalty. With this penalty, Bruno Fernandez scores a clean shot, taking the lead 1-0. After that, Everton attacked and tried to score a goal, but failed. Then, in the 35th minute, during a Manchester United counterattack, Garnacho attempted to break through and was penalized after tripping over a defender's foot in the penalty box. This penalty resulted in Rashford successfully deceiving the goalkeeper and scoring a 2-0 lead. After that, the first half ends without anything happening.
Everton played aggressively in the second half. Everton continued to attack for most of the second half, but their attacks often failed. In the end, Manchester United won with a score of 2-0, the same score as the first half.
