Last month, Asiana Airlines had an incident in which a passenger opened an emergency exit door 224 meters in the air while the plane was landing. A similar situation could have happened this time.

On a flight from Cebu to Incheon in the Philippines, a passenger was restrained while trying to open the door.

On Jeju Air flight 7C2406 (aircraft B737), which departed from Cebu at 1:40 am (local time) on the 19th and headed for Incheon, a passenger was stopped by a flight attendant and other passengers while trying to open the door.

According to Jeju Air's explanation, a male passenger behaved unusually, such as complaining of stuffiness about an hour after taking off from Cebu. A flight attendant found this and moved the man to seat 1c, the frontmost seat in the aircraft.

Even after the man moved, he continued to show similar symptoms and tried to open the door. Fortunately, the door did not open, as the flight attendant and passengers nearby immediately suppressed him. Jeju Air said that they had tied the man up with a rope until the aircraft landed.

Jeju Air handed over the man who was disturbed after the plane landed to the airport police. An official from Jeju Air said, "There was no human or material damage due to the crew's actions."
