Lim Young-woong is a renowned South Korean trot singer who gained widespread fame after winning the reality show Mr. Trot in 2020. Known for his powerful vocals and emotional performances, he has become a leading figure in the genre, captivating audiences across the nation.
His film, Lim Young-woong: I’m Hero - The Stadium, which showcases the live concert held at Seoul World Cup Stadium in May, has reached an impressive milestone by exceeding 350,000 viewers. Since its release on August 28, the film has enjoyed extended screenings, thanks to enthusiastic word-of-mouth and the support from his fanbase, known as “Young-woong Era.” As of October 22, the film has attracted a total audience of 350,038, marking a historic moment for concert films.
This achievement surpasses the previous record holder, BTS’s "Love Yourself in Seoul," which held the top spot for five years with 342,366 viewers since its release in 2019. Recently, "Lim Young-woong: I’m Hero - The Stadium" recorded a total of 343,334 viewers.
The film's total revenue has also exceeded 9.7 billion won, getting closer to the significant milestone of 10 billion won.
