LeBron James' downfall?

December 3 2024

LeBron James (40) is experiencing an extreme slump in recent games. The LA Lakers' signature star and holder of the highest scoring record in NBA history played for 31 minutes in an away game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and failed all 4 three-point shots. He managed to make only 4 out of 12 two-point shots, scoring just 10 points (8 rebounds, 4 assists) in total. Over the last 4 games, all 19 three-point shots he attempted failed, marking the second-longest three-point silence streak in the last 10 seasons. This season, his average score of 22.0 points is the lowest since his debut season in 2003-2004.

Despite his recent struggles, James has played in all 21 games for the team this season, showcasing his versatility with 6 triple-doubles. However, his average playing time of 35 minutes per game is the second-highest on the team, adding to his physical burden.

Meanwhile, Minnesota secured the win and maintained their 11th place in the Western Conference with a 10-10 record, capitalizing on the Lakers' lackluster performance.
