The Korean remake of the Taiwanese drama 'Someday or One Day,' which aired from 2019 to 2020, titled ‘A Time Called You,' was released in its entirety on Netflix on September 8th.
'A Time Called You’ is a time-slip drama that follows Junhee, who had been longing for her boyfriend who passed away a year ago, as she accidentally travels back in time and meets Shihun and her friend Ingyu, who looks exactly like her boyfriend. It follows the storyline of the original 'Someday or One Day' and recreates the sentimental atmosphere of 1998 in Korea, the main setting of the drama, using various props and songs that were popular at the time.
'A Time Called You' boasts a splendid OST lineup, including NewJeans' 'Beautiful Captivity' and 'Never Ending Story' sung by Kim Min-seok of MeloMance, along with reinterpretations of numerous classic songs, immersing viewers even more in the emotions of that era.
The Main characters are played by actors Ahn Hyoseop, Jeon Yeobeen, and Kang Hoon, and the series entered the top 10 on Netflix in 20 countries after its release on September 10th, achieving a promising performance, and raising expectations for its future trajectory.
