Korean Air collison in Chitose Airport

According to Korean Airlines, a minor collision occurred at Chitose Airport, Sapporo, Japan. The collision occurred on the 16th around thirty-five past five PM. The collided airplane, Airbus A333-300, was flight KE766 bound for Incheon International Airport.


During the pushback, the towing car slid due to the snow, and the Airbus A333-300 collided with Cathay Pacific Airways flight CX583. The Airbus A333-300’s left wing collided with the right tail wing of Cathay Pacific Airways flight CX583. Luckily, the collision was minor and did not cause any casualties.


It is known that due to this minor collision, the flight was delayed for a day. Currently, 276 passengers and 12 flight attendants are waiting for the replacement flight at the airport. The Korean Airlines sent the replacement flight promptly and the situation did not escalate to an abysmal state. The public complimented Korean Airlines’ prompt response.
