Karina and Lee Jae-wook have announced their breakup.
The two first met and began their relationship after encountering each other at Prada's F/W 2024 Men's Fashion Show in Milan in January. They revealed their breakup on Tuesday, April 2nd, just five weeks after their relationship became public on February 27th.
Following the revelation of their relationship, Karina, affiliated with SM Entertainment, faced huge problems. Some people protested in front of the SM's headquarters, by using a truck-mounted billboard. Additionally, SM Entertainment suffered a significant decrease in market capitalization by 70 billion won due to her relationship. Therefore, Karina needed to say sorry to her disappointed fans by uploading a handwritten letter to Instagram.
Ultimately, on April 2nd, Lee Jae-wook's agency reported that the breakup was decided to enable him to focus on his work. SM Entertainment also acknowledged their separation.
Fans of Karina and Jae-wook Lee have expressed concern for the two individuals, who have been hurt by malicious comments in the past.
