On November 14, 2023, a match between Man City and Chelsea took place at Stamford Bridge. With Chelsea coming off a 4-1 win over Tottenham, a team that has been on a roll lately, there was a lot of excitement surrounding this match.
The game was very competitive from the start, with City starting the game on the front foot when a foul by Cucurella on Haaland as he tried to meet a heading was reviewed by VAR and a PK was awarded, with Holland easily converting the PK. But just four minutes later, in the 29th minute, Thiago Silva equalized with a header from a Connor Gallagher cross, followed by a Sterling goal in the 37th minute and then an Akanji goal in the 46th minute to make it 2-2 at halftime.
The second half was even more heated, however, as it wasn't long after the start of the second period that City pulled a goal back in the 47th minute when Haalland netted, followed by a goal from Jackson 10 minutes later, before Rodri scored in the 86th minute to make it 4:3. As the clock ticked down from there, many people were predicting a City victory, but Chelsea scored a theatrical goal in the 96th minute to tie the game, leaving the teams with a point apiece.
